Στην σύγχρονη εποχή, την εποχή της μετανεοτερικότητας, οι συνθήκες εργασίες εξελίσσονται ραγδαία και νέες δεξιότητες απαιτούνται από την αγορά εργασίας. Οι ήπιες δεξιότητες (soft skills) αναγνωρίζονται από όλους τους διεθνείς οργανισμούς ωε το κλειδί για την επιτυχή μετάβαση από την εκπαίδευση στην αγορά εργασίας.
Η σπουδαιότητα τους αν και είναι ευρύτερα αποδεκτή δεν αποτελεί μέρος της εκπαιδευτικής διαδικασίας παρά μόνο υπονοείται στα αναλυτικά προγράμματα σπουδών. Στην διεθνή ανταγωνισμό, δεξιότητες όπως η επικοινωνία και η επίλυση προβλημάτων εμφανίζονται ως κύρια προσόντα των εργαζομένων αλλά είναι και δύσκολο να εντοπιστούν σε αυτούς.
Ο ρόλος της εκπαίδευσης εναρμονίζεται με τα κελεύσματα της κάθε εποχής. Περνώντας πια στην εποχή της μετανεοτερικότητας, η εκπαίδευση καλείται να αντιμετωπίσει τις μεγάλες κοινωνικές ανισότητες αλλά και να προετοιμάσει όσο το δυνατό καλύτερα τους μελλοντικούς εργαζόμενους για την εργασιακή πραγματικότητα που θα αντιμετωπίσουν.
Στην παρούσα εργασία, ερευνάται το κατά πόσο θεωρούν οι μαθητές ενός σχολείου δευτεροβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης σημαντικές κάποιες ήπιες δεξιότητες στο χώρο εργασίας και κατά πόσο αυτές αναπτύσσονται στο χώρο της σχολικής μονάδας. Ερευνάται επίσης, ο τρόπος που αντιλαμβάνονται οι μαθητές ορισμένες ήπιες δεξιότητες και με ποιο τρόπο θα μπορούσαν να αναπτυχθούν περισσότερο στο σχολείο. Για τους σκοπούς της έρευνας χρησιμοποιήθηκε ποσοτική μέθοδος έρευνας με ερωτηματολόγιο και ποιοτική μέθοδο με την δημιουργία μικρής ομάδας εστίασης.
Abstract
Nowadays, I the era of post natality, working conditions are rapidly change and new skills are required in the job market. Soft skills are recognized by all international organizations as the key to the successful transition from education to the job market.
Their significance although is widely acceptable is not a part of the educational procedure but is only subtly implied in the curricula. In the global competition, skills like communication and problem solving appear as main qualifications of the employees but are hard to be found in them.
The role of education is in tune with the demands of each time period. In the post natality era, education is asked to handle with the major social inequalities as well as to prepare in the best way the future employees for the reality that they will have to face.
The aim of the present project is to investigate to what extend the students of a secondary educational school consider significant some soft skills in the job market, and the degree of their development in the school unit. It is also investigated the way that the students perceive some soft skills and how they could be developed more efficiently at school. For the objectives of the research was used quantitive approach with questionnaire and quality method with the creation of a small focus group.
