| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα Διδακτορική Διατριβή παρουσιάζει τη χρήση σύγχρονων τεχνολογικών εφαρμογών στη χωρική ανάλυση, διαχείριση και ανάδειξη αρχαιολογικών χώρων, στη μελέτη αρχαιολογικών ανασκαφικών δεδομένων και στη διαχείριση και ανάδειξη της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, διερευρνάται η προσφορά των νέων τεχνολογιών στη μελέτη, ερμηνεία, και διαχείριση του αρχαιολογικού τοπίου μέσω της μελέτης ανασκαφικών δεδομένων και του χημικού αποτυπώματος στη στρωματογραφία ανασκαφικών τομών. Το χημικό αποτύπωμα στη μικρομορφολογία της στρωματογραφίας μπορεί να ανταποκρίνεται στις χρήσεις γης στον χώρο ώστε εν συνεχεία να διασυνδεθεί με τις μακροσκοπικές παρατηρήσεις της. Το αρχαιολογικό τοπίο εν συνεχεία μελετάται μακροσκοπικά με τη διασύνδεση των γεωμορφολογικών και περιβαλλοντικών παραμέτρων μεταξύ τους. Ενώ τέλος, η μελέτη του αρχαιολογικού χώρου ως σύνολο υλοποιείται στον αρχαιολογικό χώρο του Μυστρά. Σκοπός της προσέγγισης είναι η διασύνδεση της χωρικής αποτύπωσης της Καστροπολιτείας με την γεωβάση δεδομένων που αναπτύχθηκε και συγκεντρώνει την ιστορική και αρχαιολογική πληροφορία του χώρου και θα είναι διαθέσιμη μέσω διαδικτυακής εφαρμογής Συστήματος Γεωγραφικών Πληροφοριών (GIS). Στο πλαίσιο της διερεύνησης, ανάπτυξης και παρουσίασης της χρήσης ψηφιακών εφαρμογών, λογισμικών και προσεγγίσεων για τη μελέτη, προβολή και διαχείριση αρχαιολογικού και ιστορικού περιεχομένου, η παρούσα ΔΔ αποτελεί ένα πολυδιάστατο δίκτυο εφαρμογών και αναλύσεων από τη μελέτη του αρχαιολογικού τοπίου στη διαχείριση της πληροφορίας της ανασκαφής, με αποτυπώσεις και διαδρομές με χρήση καινοτόμων τεχνολογιών, όπως φορητές συσκευές και μη επανδρωμένα αεροσκάφη. | el |

| dc.description.abstracttranslated | This PhD thesis entitled "Improvement and Development of Computational Systems for the Management of Archaeological, Excavational and Environmental Data" presents the use of modern technological applications for the study, analysis and presentation of archaeological sites, excavation data and cultural heritage sites and data. How do new technologies contribute to the study, interpretation, management and promotion of archaeological landscapes and archaeological sites? The first research question is answered through exploring the use of digital applications for the study and management of cultural heritage sites in three different archaeological environments. Additionally, this Thesis explores how the development of computer applications for the study, promotion and presentation of cultural heritage events and landmarks such as web applications, applications for smart devices, etc. enhance existing study techniques and tools. Initially, the first research question is approached with the analysis and management of excavation data through the study of the chemical footprint in the stratigraphy of excavation sections. The chemical imprint in the micromorphology of the stratigraphy in many cases corresponds to land use in the study area and can therefore be interconnected with its macroscopic observations. The study of excavation data and the chemical imprint in the micromorphology is interconnected with the archaeological landscape and the geomorphological and environmental parameters. Finally, extensive spatial analysis, management and presentation of the archaeological site of Mystras is implemented by connecting the spatial analysis of the Late Byzantine city with the, developed for the purposes of this research thesis, geodatabase which includes the historical and archaeological information of the site. The geodatabase is available through a Geographic Information System (GIS) web application. In the context of exploring, developing and presenting the use of digital applications, software and approaches for the study and management of archaeological and historical content, this research thesis establishes a multidimensional network of applications and analysis from the study of the archaeological landscape to the management of excavation information, with the use of innovative technologies. | el |
