Even though the intercultural model of education is considered the most appropriate in terms of the harmonious integration of foreign students into the educational context, allowing them to maintain the characteristics of their particular cultural identity, there are still significant difficulties in its practical application. The object of this paper is to investigate the good practices that can be applied in the context of secondary education schools, with the cross-cultural education model as a reference point, in order to harmoniously integrate foreign students into the school environment. The work is carried out in the context of an extensive literature review, which is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter concepts related to the intercultural education model are examined, in the second chapter various aspects of intercultural education are examined both in theory and in terms of implementation barriers and in the third chapter extensive reference is made to secondary education school units and the implementation of good practices for the integration of foreign students into the Greek educational framework. The work demonstrated that the implementation of good practices of intercultural content can significantly help foreign students to integrate harmoniously into the school environment and have equal learning opportunities with the natives. It was also found that good practices contribute to the development of values, perceptions and attitudes associated with multicultural society, helping students in the present and in the future to understand and respect the normality of diversity. In order to achieve the aforementioned goals, every multicultural school should implement intercultural teaching, which will not only aim to cover the students' cognitive deficits, but will make use of the linguistic and cultural differences found in the classroom, for the benefit of the entire school. student community, both foreign and native students. The teaching approaches applied in the multicultural classroom should have an individual-centered dimension, so that they take into account all the students in the class, regardless of the particularities they present. The teaching should aim at the development of internal motivation, adapting the lesson to students' interests, the possibility of choice, the energy of response to the lesson, the opportunities of interaction between them, the presence of new elements of innovative teaching approaches and playful features that will contribute to providing equal learning opportunities. The good practices that can be applied in the context of intercultural education shape the diversity of the teaching practice in accordance with the new data, as a result of which the teaching flow and the action of the teacher are facilitated. Through the use of appropriate practices, the teacher can better manage the new multicultural school reality, which has been shaped by the linguistic and cultural capital of the student community. It is therefore considered necessary for teachers to apply teaching practices, which will suit the respective school context, will promote diversity, the harmonious coexistence of social subjects and will aim to create learning opportunities for all students. It is also considered necessary to train teachers in good intercultural teaching practices, which seek the best learning result for all students. Team-based teaching, collaborative research projects, the research-revealing method, cross-curricular approach, role play - dramatization, simulation, experiential approach, teaching with the use of technology are just some of the good practices that can function, enriching the didactic manipulations developed by the teachers in the context of the course, while at the same time involving the students in learning processes, which go beyond the limits of informational character and stereotypical teaching methods. Essentially, good intercultural practices help students to approach information and knowledge, to develop values, ideas, feelings, ways of expressing, thinking, understanding themselves and their fellow human beings, which help them create representations of both school and of their later social life, integrating harmoniously into modern multicultural environments and adopting moral and political values, which fit within them.el
