| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία αποτελεί μία σκιαγράφηση της πόλης του Άργους και των μνημείων της. Οι πολιτιστικές διαδρομές, ως ευρωπαϊκή πολιτική και ως εργαλείο ανάπτυξης του πολιτιστικού τουρισμού, με σύγχρονα επικοινωνιακά μέσα και πρακτικές δύνανται να συμβάλλουν αποτελεσματικά στην περιφερειακή ανάπτυξη. Συγκεκριμένα, η εστίαση γίνεται στην πόλη του Άργους, που ως μελέτη περίπτωσης επιλέγεται, καθώς είναι μια πόλη με μακραίωνη ιστορία, πλούσιο πολιτιστικό απόθεμα και ποικιλόμορφα τοπογραφικά στοιχεία, που ωστόσο, μέχρι σήμερα παραμένει αναξιοποίητη. Η έρευνα έγινε με τη χρήση ερωτηματολογίων, επιτόπιας έρευνας καθώς έγινε και SWOT ανάλυση των χαρακτηριστικών της πόλης. Με βάση τους πολιτιστικούς και φυσικούς πόρους, αλλά και τις δυνατότητες της πόλης, προτείνεται μια πολιτιστική διαδρομή που στόχο έχει να λειτουργήσει ως έναυσμα για την ευαισθητοποίηση της τοπικής κοινωνίας ως προς την πολιτιστική της κληρονομιά αλλά και να δημιουργηθούν οι προϋποθέσεις ανάδειξης της περιοχής ως πολιτιστικού-τουριστικού προορισμού, με απώτερο σκοπό την αειφόρο ανάπτυξη της πόλης του Άργους σε όλους τους τομείς: κοινωνικούς, οικονομικούς, πολιτιστικούς και περιβαλλοντικούς. | el |

| dc.description.abstracttranslated | This diploma thesis is a sketch of the city of Argos and its monuments. Through the modern policy of the European Union, the wealth of history and culture are highlighted and developed. Cultural routes, as a European policy and as a tool for the development of cultural tourism, with modern means of communication and practices can effectively contribute to regional development. Specifically, the focus is on the city of Argos, which is chosen as a case study, as it is a city with a long history, a rich cultural reserve and diverse topographic elements, which, however, remains unexploited to this day. Based on the cultural and natural resources, as well as the possibilities of the city, a cultural route is proposed that aims to act as a trigger for the awareness of the local community regarding its cultural heritage and to create the conditions for promoting the area as a cultural-tourist destination, with the ultimate goal of the sustainable development of the city of Argos in all sectors: social, economic, cultural and environmental. Field research, SWOT analysis as well as questionnaires were carried out to ascertain the relevance of the cultural route. the results showed that the cultural route can contribute to the development of the city, specifically to the economy, tourism, but also to the promotion of culture. Additionally, through the research it was seen that local self-government organizations can contribute to the implementation of such a policy. As parts of the cultural route, guided tours to the archaeological sites and museums, revival of ancient customs (Heraia) and the organization of the orange festival are proposed. the orange as the main product of the area is an element of the cultural identity of the city and the people who live there. The research participants agreed that a cultural route will help the city to emerge and develop economically as well as culturally. So, the cultural route as a European program can find a field of application in a city like Argos, with a rich history but also an important geographical location. The main feature of the practices and European politics of the cultural route is that they deal with Man and their works are directed towards Man. Thus, it seems that the cultural route is a good practice and policy for the city of Argos, a city with a long history, rich culture and great monuments. Being a city with a rich and diverse cultural and natural reserve, but also because of its geographical-strategic position, located in the Peloponnese and neighboring Arcadia and Corinthia, just an hour and a half away from the capital Athens, it has many possibilities for exploitation and development of this wealth. Through the appropriate planning, studies and organization of highlighting its cultural and natural resources, Argos can develop into a special and interesting cultural tourism destination that will act as a pillar of social, cultural, environmental and economic development of the entire prefecture. | el |
