dc.description.abstractΗ διπλωματική εργασία εξετάζει την κρίση των θεσμών στην Ελλάδα κατά την διάρκεια των μνημονίων (2010–2018) και τη σχέση της με την οικονομική ύφεση και τις πολιτικές λιτότητας. Το θεωρητικό μέρος πραγματεύεται την κρίση ήδη πριν από το 2010 και καταλήγει στον μετασχηματισμό που υπέσθη κατά την διάρκεια των μνημονιων. Ως αποτέλεσμα διαφαίνεται η περαιτέρω αποδυνάμωση των θεσμών, η μείωση της εμπιστοσύνης των πολιτών σε Βουλή και κυβέρνηση, η αύξηση του λαϊκισμού και η πολιτική πόλωση. Οι ταχείες, επιβαλλόμενες και έκτακτες διαδικασίες νομοθέτησης περιόρισαν τη συμμετοχή των θεσμικών οργάνων, ενώ η εφαρμογή αυστηρών δημοσιονομικών πολιτικών επέτεινε την κοινωνική ανισότητα και την ύφεση. Στο εμπειρικό μέρος, μέσω ερωτηματολογίου σε 170 πολίτες, διερευνώνται οι αντιλήψεις για την εμπιστοσύνη στους θεσμούς και τις κοινωνικές συνέπειες των μνημονίων. Τα αποτελέσματα δείχνουν ότι οι πολίτες συνδέουν την κρίση των θεσμών με την οικονομική κρίση, αναγνωρίζουν την αποδυνάμωση των θεσμών και θεωρούν ότι οι πολιτικές λιτότητας επιδείνωσαν κοινωνικές συνθήκες όπως ανεργία, φτώχεια και μειωμένη πρόσβαση σε υγεία και εκπαίδευση. Συμπερασματικά, η εργασία καταδεικνύει ότι η κρίση των θεσμών προϋπήρχε και μάλιστα αλληλοενισχύθηκε με την οικονομική, δημιουργώντας έναν φαύλο κύκλο θεσμικής και κοινωνικής αποσταθεροποίησης, ενώ η εμπειρική έρευνα επιβεβαιώνει την βιβλιογραφία περί άρρηκτης σχέσης της ποιότητας των θεσμών με την επιτυχία των πολιτικών λιτότητας κατά τις περιόδους οικονομικής κρίσης.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedThis thesis examines the crisis of institutions in Greece during the period of the memoranda (2010–2018) and its relation to economic recession and austerity policies. The theoretical part addresses the institutional crisis that existed prior to 2010, tracing its evolution and transformation during the memorandum period. The analysis reveals a further weakening of institutions, a decline in citizen trust toward the Parliament and the government, an increase in populism, and heightened political polarization. Rapid, imposed, and exceptional legislative procedures limited institutional participation, while the implementation of strict fiscal policies exacerbated social inequality and recession. In the empirical part, a questionnaire survey of 170 citizens investigates perceptions of institutional trust and the social consequences of the memoranda. Results indicate that citizens associate the institutional crisis with the economic crisis, recognize institutional weakening, and consider that austerity measures worsened social conditions such as unemployment, poverty, and reduced access to health care and education. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that the institutional crisis predated the economic crisis and mutually reinforced it, creating a vicious cycle of institutional and social destabilization. The empirical findings confirm the literature on the inseparable relationship between the quality of institutions and the effectiveness of austerity policies during periods of economic crisis.el
