| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα εργασία διερευνά τη μονογονεϊκότητα στην Ελλάδα ως κοινωνικό φαινόμενο στενά συνδεδεμένο με την εργασιακή επισφάλεια, τις κοινωνικές ανισότητες και την ελλιπή θεσμική υποστήριξη. Παρά την αυξανόμενη αναγνώρισή της, ως σταθερής μορφής οικογενειακής οργάνωσης, η μονογονεϊκή οικογένεια παραμένει συχνά αόρατη στις εθνικές πολιτικές πρόνοιας και απασχόλησης. Η παρούσα μελέτη, συνδυάζει θεωρητική ανάλυση και ποιοτική προσέγγιση, εξετάζοντας το ευρωπαϊκό και ελληνικό θεσμικό πλαίσιο που αφορά τις μονογονεϊκές οικογένειες και τη θέση τους στις σύγχρονες κοινωνικές πολιτικές. Μέσω ανοικτού ερωτηματολογίου καταγράφονται οι εμπειρίες 20 μονογονέων από διαφορετικά κοινωνικά και γεωγραφικά περιβάλλοντα, αποκαλύπτοντας προκλήσεις όπως η δυσκολία εξεύρεσης και διατήρησης σταθερής εργασίας, η περιορισμένη πρόσβαση σε κοινωνικές παροχές και υπηρεσίες, καθώς και η εμπειρία κοινωνικής αποστασιοποίησης ή έμμεσου στιγματισμού. Η απουσία υποστηρικτικών δομών και ευέλικτων μορφών απασχόλησης επιτείνει τις δυσκολίες των μονογονεϊκών οικογενειών. Η μελέτη καταδεικνύει ότι η ενίσχυση της κοινωνικής ισότητας και συνοχής απαιτεί την ουσιαστική ενσωμάτωση των μονογονεϊκών οικογενειών στον κοινωνικό σχεδιασμό, με θεσμική αναγνώριση, προσαρμογή των πολιτικών παροχών στις ιδιαίτερες συνθήκες τους, καθολική πρόσβαση σε υπηρεσίες φροντίδας και ενίσχυση της συμμετοχής τους στη διαμόρφωση και αξιολόγηση των πολιτικών που τους αφορούν, ως προϋπόθεση για μια δίκαιη και συμπεριληπτική κοινωνική πολιτική. | el |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | This study explores single parenthood in Greece as a social phenomenon closely linked to employment insecurity, social inequalities, and inadequate institutional support. Despite its growing recognition as a stable form of family organization, the single- parent family often remains invisible in national welfare and employment policies. The study combines theoretical analysis with a qualitative approach, examining the European and Greek institutional frameworks concerning single-parent families and their place in contemporary social policies. Through an open-ended questionnaire, the experiences of 20 single parents from diverse social and geographical backgrounds are recorded, revealing challenges such as difficulties in finding and maintaining stable employment, limited access to social benefits and services, and experiences of social distancing or indirect stigmatization. The absence of supportive structures and flexible employment options further exacerbates the already complex reality faced by single- parent families. The study demonstrates that strengthening social equality and cohesion requires the meaningful integration of single-parent families into the core of social planning, through their institutional recognition, the adaptation of welfare policies to their specific circumstances, universal access to care and support services, and the active participation of single parents in the design and evaluation of the policies that affect them—an essential element of a just and inclusive social policy. | el |
